All your family members will be pleased with the excellent crystal-clear imaging and CD quality sound delivered to their home via satellite. Digitized programming is received by a home receiver component and then processed for either standard or High Definition viewing. Pictures are excellent and sound is sharp and clear. All programming is made available through Direct TV 's generous offer of free equipment and free installation, with some services provided free for a limited time. The only customer charge is for programming services. In addition to free basic equipment, Direct TV gives new subscribers a free Personal Video Recorder in an effort to improve viewing experiences. The PVR allows one to digitally record and store favorite programming, up to 70 hours, as well as delete unwanted commercials and other interferences, with some models having the ability to record an entire season of programs by being set only one time. Programs can be recorded while watching another program live. Another feature is programming the PVR to record shows using an actor's name only. The device will search and record all programming starring the named actor. The features of Record, Pause, Fast Forward, and Rewind allow you to preset the device for recording programs for viewing at your convenience - not the broadcast scheduled time.

Direct TV has three packages of diverse programming with optional specialized programming. The three packages are Total Choice, Total Choice Plus, and Total Choice Premier - each containing a wide range of channels and selections as well as local channels and music channels. The entry level packages begins with 155 choice channels of selections including movies, ESPN - four channels, Disney Channel, AMC, ABC Family and more. Total Choice Plus includes 30 additional channels with additional sports shows, and Total Choice Premier includes every channel including 30 premium movie channels and added sports programming. Specialty programming includes International Services, NBA League Pass, NFL Sunday Ticket, and much more.
