Harmony remotes are a line of Universal Remote controls produced by Logitech. Logitech harmony remote controls boast of many features. The typical Logitech harmony remote allows you to access more than one device. In fact, if your device has Remote Control capability, chances are your new Logitech Harmony remote will be able to access and control it. With the simple press of a button you can switch between devices seamlessly. If you want to listen to your music player, just press a button and you will be able to control the volume, switch between songs and albums, as well as fast forward and rewind tracks. Then when you want to switch on your TV, with a flick of your fingers you can have full control of your TV switching between DVR, DVD, and live TV with comfort and speed.
Choosing a remote
Your choice of Logitech harmony remote should be based on your specific needs. Whether your needs are simple or complex, you should be able to find a remote that suits your needs. It just takes some looking to discover the right remote. For example, if you only need full control of four devices in your home, a harmony 300 series would work fine. If you need control of the complex features of an entire home theatre entertainment center, you would want the comfort of the three and a half inch touch LCD screen of the harmony 1100.
Setting up your Logitech Harmony remote
Setup is relatively easy with a harmony remote control. Instead of punching in a code to get access to your devices, you plug your remote into your laptop or desktop and connect to the internet. On the dedicated website you just need to tell the program about your devices and the integrated software will do the work of setting up your controller for you. Harmony remotes are designed for comfort. With classy designs and well sculpted buttons, the remotes are a joy to hold and comfortable to use.
