Televisions nowadays are very fast in upgrading and evolving. These boxes that show us moving images came a very long way in history and has been a contribution of not only one genius but a lot of superior minds. The display in the televisions before were still small like a size of a business card thus making it hard to watch compared to what we have today. Television sets before were not even electronic that is why this period is called The Mechanical Era of Television. A more thorough history before digital tv in pc came to life will be discussed next.

In the early 1930's to 1940's, the electrical side of the television was discovered and perfected. Countries from all over the world tried experimenting and began to broadcast with only a small number of television sets distributed to the people. This was also the time wherein BBC was declared the first ever public, established and standardized TV station in the whole world.

There was a time in television history where broadcasting was totally prohibited, and this was during the World War 2. The Eiffel Tower was not only a landmark that time but it was used by Germans to broadcast in Paris while the United States of America experimented with TV-guided missiles in the Pacific by this time. The era after the infamous World War 2 paved its way as the last and final rebirth of the television. By this time, families have gathered enough savings during the chaotic years and were very disposed on buying houses, automobiles, and other extravagant things restricted from them during the war. Television sets were fastly added to the list of "must-haves" and thus led the way to the rapid boom of sales of Televisions. In US, black and white televisions were the "cream of the crop". They were sold left and right in stores, and was very in demand by the people. And after 5 to 10 years of production, electronic colored televisions were now open and available to the public and with remote controls on top of that. This era of television history was by far, the most innovative and formative.

Incorporating the power of televisions and computers may be the best invention there is by man. Computers alone could be very powerful when used in a right way, and by adding the power of TV it may become invincible that is. Digital TV in PC is a very handy and useful tool especially when you are out of the house and may have to watch current events, or just plain enjoy your most favorite TV shows without having to bring the very big and bulky TV set of yours. The power of notebooks, laptops and PDA's may be used also to watch TV. You just have to have an up to date personal computer or notebook, that are equipped with standard USB 2 cables with interfaces that are fast enough to catch up with digital TV data stream and external receiver and voila! A TV in your own personal computer. Enjoy!
